Seasonal Salads on the Farm: Autumn Edition 2024

Date: Thursday, September 12th 2024
Time: 6:30 PM-8:00 PM
Skill Level: Beginner

Nourishment is about much more than food, it’s about caring for our hearts and souls. As we eat seasonally, we nourish our bodies and minds, becoming more conscious of where our food comes from, appreciating the abundance that Mother Nature provides us each season, and lessening our environmental impact through our food choices. Eating seasonal greens, such as hearty kale, chard, and lettuce, allows us to nourish our whole selves with grounding energy for our heart and nutrient-rich food for our bodies.

At this demonstration workshop, Bri, from the Snuck Kitchen, will help you discover the joys of eating seasonal salads, gain knowledge of different types of greens and their benefits, and learn cooking skills that will leave you empowered to enjoy nutritious, wellness-enhancing greens for the winter season.

What to expect:

  • Sneak peek into the windows of our hydroponic greenhouse, including discussion on how we grow and what is fresh on the farm right now.
  • Sample and taste the different greens we grow at Snuck Farm.
  • Instruction on different types of greens and their nutritional benefits.
  • Demonstration of ways to use a variety of fresh greens to create three hearty seasonal salads.
